POSITION: Part-time Academic Service Center (ASC) Instructor (Adjunct Faculty) – Mathematics
LOCATION: In-person, Fargo, North Dakota
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time, non-benefited

JOB SUMMARY: The ASC Instructor provides academic support and instruction to students in foundational math skills. This role involves developing engaging courses, delivering individualized instruction, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other faculty members.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach developmental math courses and provide academic support to students.
- Assess student progress and offer individualized feedback.
- Collaborate with ASC and Math faculty to ensure a smooth transition to college-level coursework.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in developmental education.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education or English or mathematics or a related field.
- Experience teaching developmental courses in math.
- Strong understanding of the principles of developmental education and the challenges faced by developmental students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a community college or other higher education setting.
- Familiarity with Blackboard learning management system.
- Certification in developmental education or a related field.

SALARY: Current adjunct pay rate (calculated per credit taught)
