We invite you to become a member of our community. Salem State University is seeking a part-time Certified Athletic Trainer for the temporary position of
Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position will work from mid-December 2024 through mid-May 2025, averaging 10-19 hours per week.
The role of Assistant Athletic Trainer will include, but is not limited to: injury prevention, evaluation,
management/treatment of athletic injuries, short term rehabilitation, and documentation of athletic
injuries. Having good communication skills is essential to be able to coordinate care with physicians, AT
staff, and coaching staff. The Assistant Athletic Trainer must be able to work independently, as well as
part of the whole athletic training team. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and
weekends is required.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
3. Massachusetts State Athletic Training Licensure, or be licensed by start date
4. Professional Rescuer First Aid/CPR/AED certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a college or university is preferred
