KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will devote 100 percent of his or her time to develop and support applied research projects resulting in peer-reviewed publications and grant submissions. This may involve presenting research findings to academic and stakeholder audiences. Specifically, the successful candidate will be expected to design and implement empirical strategies to address endogeneity and selection issues in the economic analysis of secondary and administrative datasets related to nutrition, health, and human capital development. These strategies are expected to incorporate the latest development in the econometrics of program evaluation to estimate causal program effects that inform health and nutrition policy. In addition, there will likely be an opportunity to work with commercial medical claims data and retail scanner data in research projects. It is anticipated that much of the work will focus on the effects of child nutrition programs and other school-level policies. The successful candidate could also be engaged in one or more community-based research projects depending on interests, abilities, and skills.

Experience: One or more years of experience conducting economic analysis with data from elementary and secondary schoolchildren is preferred.
Special knowledge, abilities and skills: Spanish proficiency is a plus.
