Job Description:
Funded postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Cetrulo’s group in the Department of Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The research project is particularly focused on developing novel cell and immunotherapeutic strategies for tolerance induction in allogenic transplantation and autoimmune conditions with special emphasis on new generations of CAR T cell therapy. The fellow will have the opportunity to also engage in different ongoing collaborations with other pioneering researchers and institutions in synthetic biology including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Boston University. This position provides outstanding opportunities for continued scientific development and for contributing to pioneering research with high translational impact. We expect the fellow to be highly motivated, independent, and innovative.
Job requirements:
The candidate will have a PhD and/or MD degree. Prior extensive laboratory experience is required, ideally in molecular techniques such as cell transfection and transduction, advanced flowcytometry skills, sequencing, with knowledge of advanced immunology, and synthetic biology skills including mammalian cell culture-based assays, IHC, fluorescence microscopy, Western blot, PCR, ELISA and working with in vivo murine models.
