Position Summary | The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking a candidate to fill a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor rank. The Assistant, Associate or Full Professor within The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Indiana University School of Medicine will bolster a diverse research portfolio, complementing strengths developing and maintaining an independent and focused research program in bacterial immunity, and immunotherapy. The candidate will demonstrate a past record of productive and high-quality research. The candidate will conduct cutting-edge research broadly in microbiome or bacterial pathogenesis. This position will be comprised of key scholarly activities in which 70-80% of the responsibilities include developing an independent research program. The candidate will have or obtain external grant support, maintain academic credentials, participate in teaching microbiology/immunology-based courses to graduate and medical students. Basic Qualifications | A Doctorate or Terminal degree is required in Microbiology and Immunology or related discipline. The minimum number of work experience required for this position is three years of laboratory research work at the postdoctoral level or above |
