Postdoctoral Fellow - Stem Cell and Cancer Biology

Position Summary

A Postdoctoral Fellowship opportunity is immediately available for a highly motivated individual in the laboratory of Dr. ZJ Sun at Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, one of a prestigious group of NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

The Sun laboratory examines stem cells and stem cell niches in prostate development and tumorigenesis using “cutting-edge” and unbiased analytic tools and unique and innovative genetically engineered mouse models. The Postdoctoral Fellow will join a highly productive lab to directly work on the novel and ongoing projects to uncover cell signaling pathways, and related gene-expression and genomic and epigenetic alterations that regulate the prostatic epithelial-stromal interactions in development and tumor development and progression (please see our recent publications: PMC6440846, PMC6752978, PMC6980684, DOI: 10.1242/dev.196048).

Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. or M.D/Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, or a related field. Candidates should have a proven track record of creativity and productivity, and also be highly self-motivated, and strong desire to learn. We provide a fruitful research and career development environment, and competitive salary and fringe benefits. Please send CV and the names of three references to Dr. ZJ Sun via e-mail: zjsun@coh.org
