KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Earthquake engineering; Structural design of wood residential structures; Experimental testing in structural engineering; Probabilistic natural hazards and structural fragility analysis; Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish high quality research. Excellent English communication skills (both written and oral). Ability to mentor and guide undergraduate and graduate students.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
Earthquake engineering, earthquake hazard and risk assessments, reliability analysis and structural laboratory testing, involvement in proposal writing and/or successfully obtained research funding.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
PhD in Structural Engineering, Earthquake Engineering or closely related field.
Term Position:
This position is term-funded and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
