Job Summary
We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to join a research team examining a broad range of family and community factors influencing Alzheimers disease and related dementia (ADRD) risks and resilience. The position involves two focuses:
A successful candidate will present research activities within the group and at scientific meetings. Support for preparing applications for external funding would be provided.

Work Locations
The primary appointment will be at the School of Medicine. The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with Dr. HwaJung Choi and faculty members at the School of Medicine and the Institute for Social Research who have investigator roles on the grants. The work environment will be hybrid remote and in-person. The postdoctoral fellow will share an office in the North Campus Research Complex (NCRC). Weekly presence in the office is encouraged. Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
Additional Information
Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000/year plus benefits and grant related travel funds. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience of the candidate. The appointment will be for one year, with a potential for annual renewal for up to 3 years total.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
