We are translational genomics and experimental therapeutics lab that focuses on identifying and investigating novel therapeutic targets in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and developing new therapeutic strategies. Our lab is also interested in characterizing the immune repertoire of patients with AML using TCRseq analysis to be leveraged in the development of novel neoantigen prediction algorithms that can then be validated in cellular and animal models.
We seek a highly motivated scientist proficient in using routine molecular biology techniques for genomics/epigenomic studies. Hands-on experience with high throughput assays and next- generation sequencing-based platforms is required. In addition, the candidate should have a strong background in cancer biology, immunology and computational biology, bioinformatics, or biostatistics. Computational skills, including experience with bioinformatic tools and packages, are needed. Experience with data mining, especially for ‘omics’ datasets, or developing pipelines/software for large biological datasets is desired.
Responsibilities include a) Immune profiling of clinical samples, b) Conducting cellular, molecular, and in vivo experiments for hypothesis-driven research, c) Performing computational and bioinformatic analyses; and d) Preparing presentations and publishing scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The applicant must have excellent organizational and communication skills. The individual should have experience with working in teams, as well as the ability to work independently.
