The Department of Chemical Engineering (CHEG) is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for the Whitehead research lab. In this role, the Postdoctoral Associate will be responsible for the identification of a non-viral material that delivers nucleic acids to agricultural pests, induces RNA interference, and ultimately kills the pests. The primary tasks of the postdoctoral associate will be synthesis of non-viral delivery materials, formulation and characterization of delivery materials into nanoparticles, and testing of these formulations in insect cell culture.
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- A scholarly record of achievements, including but not limited to publications and conference presentations

The position is funded for one year with a potential for a second year renewal and is inclusive of competitive salary and benefits. The starting date is flexible, but August 2021 is desired.
