Summary of Position

Post-doctoral opportunity in the field of asphalt pavements and materials. The duties of the post-doctoral position will include both research and teaching. Research duties will include managing graduate and undergraduate students, conducting laboratory testing, writing technical papers and reports, presenting research results at meetings and conferences as well as assisting with proposal development. Teaching duties include undergraduate level mechanics, asphalt mixtures and construction, pavement design, and pavement maintenance and management. Courses may be offered in-person, online, or in hybrid format. Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering with background and experience in laboratory characterization and testing of asphalt binders and mixtures, pavement engineering, design and analysis. Strong communication skills, teaching, and mentorship experience are required.
