Student Learning ResourcesGeneral Summary
The Executive Director provides leadership and direction for all learning support programs through the Student Success Centers, including tutoring services, supplemental instruction, learning communities; workshops; library resources; library services, and other ongoing instructional support initiatives.
Specific Position Duties
Oversee the operations of the Success Center Coordinators and Learning Resource Center; Coordinate tutoring and learning resources across campus; Provide direct supervision for the Success Center Coordinators and Student Learning Resources library coordinators; oversee all Student Learning Resources staff; Represent Student Learning Resources to the college and community, serving as a resource and fostering meaningful partnerships; Oversee and monitor the strategic plan and budget for the Student Learning Resources division; Ensures compliance with external agencies maintaining certification or providing funding sources; Provide vision and leadership in development and implementation of innovative strategies for the enhancement of student learning and the expansion of college learning support services; Provide vision and leadership in development and implementation of innovative strategies for expanding community engagement; Ensure the provision of adequate and up-to-date technological resources within the division; Establish and maintain evaluations of learning resources and services in all areas of the division; Monitor the collection and use of data to guide effective administrative decision-making and needs assessment for student learning resources & programs; Maintain knowledge of and actively participate in professional organizations within the field of academic learning support and ensures that all Student Learning Resources staff have appropriate professional training and development opportunities in the area; Create cohesive services between the various tutoring services and the Learning Resource Center to facilitate an innovative support structure; Function in a collaborative, service-oriented environment and flexibility in adapting to change; Participate in college committees and initiatives; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Experience in student support services and/or project management; Demonstrated effective leadership and supervisory skills; Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse, multi-cultural student population; Commitment to the community college philosophy of education; Ability to function well under time constraints and strict deadlines; Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities; Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
Work Hours
Typical Hours Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:30, Friday 8:00-1:00 Summer Hours Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:30 Hours may vary depending on business need. Some evening and weekend work may be required.Posting Number
