The University of Pittsburgh seeks a Lecturer, Urban Studies for the Urban Studies Program within the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences to teach courses on urban sustainability, research methods, international urbanism, and other topics.
- Must have a PhD in urban studies, geography, or a related field completed prior to appointment.
- Evidence of strong teaching experience in the areas of urban geography, planning, policy, and/or sustainability.
Responsibilities entail the effective instruction of students, teaching 6 courses per academic year including courses in urban sustainability, urban economic geography, community GIS, and international urbanism. Other duties will include service to the school and to the program, developing new curricular opportunities for students, and providing mentoring and support to students where appropriate.
