The Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine invites applications for an Research Instructor full-time, appointment-stream position in tissue engineering, namely bioreactor technology and nerve regeneration.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD degree and will have research interests relevant to bioengineering. Candidates with interests and expertise relevant to peripheral nerve repair are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience and publications in bioreactor technology, animal models for nerve repair, and electrophysiology are encouraged to apply.
This faculty position is within the collaborative regenerative medicine/tissue engineering research community of the University of Pittsburgh, including the Adipose Stem Cell Center in the Department of Plastic Surgery. Successful candidates will join an active research community with diverse colleagues across University of Pittsburgh whose research spans tissue engineering, bioreactor decellularization/reperfusion, and nerve repair.
