Postdoctoral Associate in the School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Pittsburgh
The laboratory of Dr. Wen Xie is looking to recruit a postdoctoral associate. The candidate is expected to perform research on the nuclear receptor-mediated gene regulation and the implications of this regulation in physiology and diseases. The candidate is expected to generate scientific data and present it in the forms of research publications and/or conference presentations and any other assignments that the principal investigator may request.
The candidate must have PhD and/or MD degree in health-related disciplines. No prior postdoctoral experience is required.
Your job duties include design and execution of experiments, including cell culture experiments and animal experiments. Common equipment to be used include real-time PCR machine, centrifuges, and tissue culture hoods. Common procedures include real-time PCR, western blotting, histology, cell culture. You are also expected to contribute to the writing of manuscripts for publication.
