Functions as the Financial Operations Analyst overseeing the financial and accounting operations of multiple units for the College of Arts and Sciences (ASC) including the following fiscal services: financial systems, reporting and internal controls, policies and regulations. Approves financial activity according to the designated signature authority. Develops and maintains unit budget systems and budgetary policies. Supports the units in budget preparation, forecasting, identifying and implementing strategic initiatives. Oversees the general ledger, the preparation of unit financial reports, and performs financial analysis. Collaborates with unit leadership to create and analyze reports against performance to inform strategic planning and further initiatives. Works closely with department leadership including Chairs, Directors, Vice Chairs and Business Operations Managers. Maintains financial databases, data interfaces and budget models for units within ASC. Participates and pro-actively engages as part of the ASC Finance team, working closely to coordinate efforts on budgeting and university policies and procedures and provides central ASC finance support as needed. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the physical assets of the units, which includes recording the disposal or sale of fixed assets and the coordination of physical inventories. Organizes internal audit responses. Responsible for the recording of revenue and accounts receivable including: billing customers and processing payments, record keeping, responding to customer inquiries related to account status, and the aging and write-off of receivables.

Required Experience: Experience in a progressively responsible fiscal capacity, financial reconciliation, report generation and analysis experience required, preferably in an academic setting; experience with Microsoft Excel, including creating charts and pivot tables; proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong accounting and problem solving skills required; knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Desired Experience: Experience with Workday, Tableau and BuckeyePlan is desired; knowledge of academic unit operations including credit hour revenue is desired.
