Description of Work Unit |
Teach the methodology and core content areas of academic psychology to approximately 1000 undergraduates, and to educate and train approximately 95 graduate students in general psychology and in the specialties of Counseling, Applied Social and Health, Cognitive, Cognitive Neuroscience, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology. |
Position Summary |
The Neurocognitive Measurement Laboratory (NML; PI Michael Thomas) within the CSU Department of Psychology seeks to hire a 2- to 3-year Postdoctoral Fellow to work on a NIMH-funded project (R01MH121546; An Adaptive Testing Platform for Optimizing RDoC Experimental Cognitive Measures). The Postdoctoral Fellow will help with all aspects of daily research operations including, but not limited to, recruitment, scheduling, running research participants through study protocols, analyzing data, and preparing research documents and manuscripts. Travel (when permitted) to research conferences and trainings will also be supported. The position will require regular (e.g., 1-2 times per week) travel to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver (approximately 1 hour south of Fort Collins by car). This position will have a tentative start date in the summer or fall of 2021. |
Required Job Qualifications |
- Ph.D. with a concentration in Clinical or Cognitive Neuroscience, Clinical Neuropsychology, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience administering structured clinical interviews or neuropsychological tests. - Record of scientific publishing and presentation. |
Preferred Job Qualifications |
- Advanced coding skills (Matlab, Python, or R). - Demonstrated experience in running task-based fMRI experiments. - Advanced training in statistics and measurement. - History of engaging in professional outreach, equity, and inclusion activities. - Demonstrated experience working with cognitively and/or psychiatrically impaired individuals - Record of first-author publications and/or grant applications. |
