Position Summary

A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately to conduct research in cancer cell biology.

The Department of Genetics, Cell Biology and Anatomy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center is a seeking a POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE to pursue exciting research in the area of cancer cell biology. The incumbent will pursue fairly independent research without day-to-day supervision and serve as a senior leader. In addition, the incumbent will participate in teaching of basic principles of safety regulation and good laboratory practice to graduate students and research assistants.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. and/or M.D., (including those conferred outside of U.S.) in the field of Biology.

Supplemental Qualifications

A substantial knowledge of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, as documented by peer-reviewed publications in high quality journals is preferred.

Ability to prepare scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. Knowledge of basic principles of various common equipment used in the biology laboratory. Able to conduct independent research without day-to-day supervision of the principal investigator. Knowledge of basic principles of safety regulation and good laboratory practice.
