| Position Summary |
A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center to investigate cell surface glycoproteins and glycans within the context of cardiovascular development and disease, including stem cell differentiation and advanced heart failure. |
| Required Qualifications |
• PhD in a relevant area of cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, analytical chemistry.
• 2 years’ experience in mass spectrometry analysis of glycans and/or glycopeptides |
| Supplemental Qualifications |
• Strongly self-motivated, independent, and ambitious scientist with critical thinking ability.
• Very strong organizational and communication skills, creativity in methodological development, and understanding of basic experimental design and statistical analyses.
• Experience in glycobiology or glycomics
• Experience in cell surface or membrane proteomics.
• Experience in targeted peptide quantitation, analysis in Skyline.
• Experience in mammalian cell culture, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, molecular biology |
