General Summary The Postdoctoral Researcher in Software Engineering and Security is a motivated, self-driven post-doctoral researcher to work in the area of intelligent software engineering and security with a focus on AI-enabled software engineering and IoT security. More precisely, the postdoctoral researcher shall be working on investigating automated software test case and code generation, vulnerability detection and smart device security and privacy.
Additional Information This is a non-continuous, grant funded position. The initial appointment will end on 6-30-21, the end of the current grant year. Appointment renewal for the following grant year will be based upon available grant funding and performance.
Required Qualifications 1. Doctoral degree in computer or information science or related majors
2. Research experience and competence
3. A record of authored publications or articles in preparation.
Desired Qualifications Research experience in the following core areas:
• Software Engineering
• AI
• Secure Programming
• Information Security
• Applied Machine Learning for Cybersecurity
• IoT
Work Hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday
Functional Expectations Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

2. Ability to use a computer in day-to-day work (i.e. type on a keyboard and use a mouse).
3. Ability to maintain a high level of concentration.
4. Ability to conduct or attend meetings in various locations on and off campus.
