The Laboratory of Dr. Pedro L. Vera at the Lexington VA Health Care System is looking to hire a postdoctoral Research Fellow or Senior Scientist. This position will be part of a multi-year funded project to examine spinal mechanisms of persistent bladder pain. The lab sis using behavioral methods to study bladder pain and the effect of pharmacological interventions.

Must be a US Citizen
- PhD and/or M.D. in a related field and at least one first-author publication in a peer reviewed journal

- experience with small animal surgery and in vivo bladder physiology in mice is required

- Research experience in measuring pain behaviors in mouse models is required

-experience with general lab procedures such as immunohistochemistry, western blotting, RT-PCR
