Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment A postdoctoral research associate position is available at Princeton University in the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment. The postdoc will be responsible for overseeing an exciting and fast-paced collaborative multi-university research project on acid resistant sustainable cements. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and performing experiments, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript and report preparation and graduate student mentoring.
The project requires applicants to have a strong background in characterization of materials and/or cement degradation of cement-based materials. Experience with the following materials characterization techniques is beneficial: XRD, MIP, NAD, ICC, SEM and FTIR. Individuals with expertise in sustainable cements and a PhD in relevant fields (including civil engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or materials engineering) are encouraged to apply. All candidates must have strong, demonstrated research ability, be very comfortable in an interdisciplinary research environment, have excellent English written and spoken communication skills, and a PhD in a relevant field. We are interested in receiving applications from members of groups that have been historically underrepresented in Civil Engineering and Materials Science.
The appointment will be for one year, with one year planned renewal contingent on performance and funding.
