The Carolina Consortium on Human Development invites applications for NICHD (NRSA) postdoctoral traineeships. One position is available for a one year appointment, with the possibility of extending for a second year subject to a funding contingency. Advanced training will be provided in the longitudinal study of individual development over changing contexts (e.g., families, peer groups, schools) using multiple levels of analysis ranging from biology to socio-cultural. Specific areas of focus vary over trainee-mentor teams (e.g., psychology, education, sociology, public health, neuroscience, medicine, nursing, quantitative methodology). Faculty mentors have primary appointments in over 20 departments or schools at six neighboring universities and colleges (Duke University, Meredith College, North Carolina Central University, North Carolina State University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and University of North Carolina at Greensboro.)
Applicants must have completed a terminal degree in their field (e.g., PhD, MD, DrPH, EdD) by the time of their appointment.
Qualifications and Experience
Fellowship candidates are expected to have a demonstrated commitment to transdisciplinary longitudinal study. In accordance with NIH regulations, applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, race, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or status as a protected veteran.
