Function/Duties of Position:
A Postdoctoral position is open in the behavioral neuroscience laboratory with a focus on the molecular mechanisms underlying sex differences in substance use disorder. The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with the Principal Investigator and other lab members understand the functional relevance of sex differences in the brain’s reward circuitry as well as design and execute their own independent research circuitry. Techniques include chemogenetics, retrograde tracing, immunohistochemistry and fiber photometry, RNA- and ChIP-seq, behavioral assays and other cellular and molecular neuroscience approaches. Responsibilities include:
- Experimental design and execution
- Writing and Data Analysis
- Mentoring and Lab Maintenance
- Working with research animals
- Ph.D. in Neuroscience, molecular biology, Psychology or related field
- Coding in python and R.
- Familiar with rodent behavior
