The Mathematics Department at times needs temporary, part-time instructors to teach introductory mathematics courses. Duties include teaching face-to-face classes days, evenings or weekends as scheduled and being available to students by holding appropriate office hours.
In addition to teaching, there is an expectation for scholarship and service commensurate with the assignment.
Master’s degree or PhD degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education and a successful interview and teaching demonstration. Three successful background checks: Act 34 (Criminal Record Check); Act 114 (FBI Federal Criminal History-Fingerprinting); and Act 151 (Child Abuse History Clearance).
