The Kohan Lab in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC is seeking a highly skilled and highly motivated individual who will function as a research scientist to conceive and organize multiple projects. The incumbent will work closely with the lab PI, generating experiment plan and analyzing data. The current work mainly focuses on the role of intestinal lipoproteins on T cells and Tregs, and their role in whole-body inflammation. The discoveries will lead to federal grant applications and entrepreneurship development. This position will be located in the Biomedical Science Tower.
Degree and experience in a relevant field of study. Technical expertise in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry is required. Fundamental knowledge of genetics and aging is desirable. Small animal work experience is preferred. Previous publications are encouraged.
