Department Summary
The Institute of Ecology and Evolution (IE²) facilitates research and graduate education in ecology and evolutionary biology. The Institute fosters a collegial and stimulating intellectual environment for world-class research in molecular evolution, evolutionary genetics, evolution of development, and microbial, population, community, and ecosystems ecology.

Position Summary
A postdoctoral position in community ecology is available in the research group of Lauren Hallett at the University of Oregon. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative project with the Burns, OR ARS to explore factors affecting the resilience of perennial rangelands to annual grass invasion in the northern Great Basin. Incumbent will prepare results for publications and present findings at relevant scientific meetings.

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD in biology or related field.

Professional Competencies

  • Strong quantitative skills.

  • A demonstrated publication record.

  • Expertise in community and/or ecosystem ecology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Abilities in field experimental work and organizing research teams are also highly desirable.
