Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Science (cancer research)
A post-doctoral fellowship is available in the Institute for Cancer Genetics at Columbia University Medical Center in New York. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated scientists who will work in top-quality, high-pressure Biomedical Science environment. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to an active and innovative research program focused on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of cell cycle regulation, differentiation and tumorigenesis in the nervous system. Our ongoing research activity is currently focused on the role of key transcriptional pathways, the ubiquitin/proteasome system and single cell sequencing in cancer. Our professional vision is based on the concurrent exploitation of a variety of state-of-the-art technologies (proteomics, bioinformatics, mouse genetics and human cancer translational studies) that together aim to build unprecedented albeit comprehensive paradigms for stem cell biology, neurogenesis and cancer research. The successful candidates will have experience with protein biochemistry/protein purification, general molecular biology, primary cultures of mammalian cells and transgenic/knockout mouse models.
Positions are available immediately.
Applicants should send curriculum vitae and names and addresses of three references to:
