Mentor: Sabine Huke PhD, Associate Professor, Division of Cardiovascular Disease, Department of Medicine.

A postdoctoral position is available in the group of Sabine Huke PhD in the Division of Cardiovascular Disease, Department of Medicine to participate in NIH funded projects that evolve around mechanisms of sudden cardiac death ( ). The successful candidate will perform mechanistic research with a translational focus seeking new treatments to prevent cardiac arrhythmias. Applied techniques range from molecular and cellular to whole heart perfusions and in vivo analysis and ultimately to pilot clinical trials. Appointment will be for one year with the possibility of extension contingent on satisfactory performance. Salary will follow NIH guidelines commensurate with training and experience. T32 training opportunity is available inside the Division for qualified candidates.


The successful candidate should have a proven track record with publications. Strong motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work independently is required. Prior experience in relevant fields including e.g. heart rhythm analysis or measurement of coronary perfusion is desired, but not necessary. If interested, please inquire directly with Dr. Huke (
