The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami is seeking a Post Doctoral Associate in the department of Atmospheric Sciences to work on trace gas chemistry of the upper troposphere/lower stratosphere during one or more airborne research missions over the continental United States or the Western Pacific Ocean.
The selected candidate will become involved in all aspects of the preparation, deployment, chemical analysis, and data interpretation of trace gas measurements from high altitude research aircraft. The position is associated with the Dynamics and Chemistry of the Summer Stratosphere ( www.dcotss.org ) project and will involve collaboration with a large, multi-disciplinary team of scientists.
• Must have a PhD in atmospheric, environmental, or chemical sciences
• Experience in areas of gas chromatography/mass spectrometry analyses, trace gas analysis, airborne instrumentation, and data analyses is desired.
• Field work experience is a plus.
